Ante in Newtown is one of those places that just doesn't miss. From the food to the service to the drinks to the music — everything comes together perfectly.
The fermented shiitake tagliatelle is an absolute must-order. The fried potato mochi is incredible too.
The ambiance really sets it apart: old school decks playing mood-perfect music with phenomenal acoustics. The staff are friendly and funny, and it's not overpriced either. They also have an extensive sake list if that's your thing.
If you're after a restaurant where the whole experience feels special without being stuffy, Ante is it.
